Woman Weeping At Graveside Is Comforted By A Stray Dog

Finding comfort when someone is experiencing deep grief, especially while grieving the loss of a loved one, may be challenging. But for grief-stricken María José Sáez Orte, comfort found her.

One day, while visiting the resting place of someone close to her who’d recently passed away, Orte was seemingly inconsolable. After she tearfully settled down at their graveside, however, a figure soon appeared to bring her solace.

Orte was very upset as she went to the final burial site of someone close to her who had lately gone away. But shortly after she had knelt at their tomb, sobbing, a figure came to comfort her.

It was a random dog. He had come to give a loving paw as well as his warm presence.

“Today, I went to say goodbye to the person I loved the most … and this puppy arrived,” Orte wrote.

After Orte posted it online, numerous commenters called the dog her “guardian angel,” and perhaps they were correct. It seems, at that moment, the visit was just what Orte needed most.

Orte left the dog that day, but he remained in her thoughts. She decided to visit the cemetery yet again to seek him out, whereupon she learned that the dog had “guardian angels” of his own. He was apparently originally a stray dog, but is now being looked after by workers there, who feed and shelter him.

Sadly, not much else is known about the dog. But chances are, Orte wasn’t the first to be comforted by the caring pup, nor will she be the last
