Dog Found Unconscious In The Field Made An Amazing Recovery
Angela had suffered a severe blow to the head and had brain damage as a result.
Animal Aid Unlimited got a call reporting that a dog had been found lying in water in a field, unconscious. She had a deep wound by her tail and a laceration on her face. She urgently needed medical care, so they rushed her back to Animal Aid’s hospital where they started treating her traumatic head injury.
The dog was unable to wake up. They suspected she had suffered a traumatic injury to her head. There were injuries to her face that showed she had been hit on the head. They gave medicine to help her brain injury and sutured her wounds.
A few hours later, she began to regain consciousness, but her brain function was very impaired. A week after her emergency surgery she took her first wobbly steps, but she couldn’t stand or walk on her own.
She was still very uncoordinated and unable to stand on her own. But rescuers refused to give up on her, despite this heartbreaking setback.
And after 2 months of treatment and dedicated care, Angela’s recovery is incredible. She ran and played like any other normal dog. She also enjoys walking with her rescuers. Now, she is a happy dog. What a happy ending!
